ZMI Portec Lime Slakers

ZMI Portec Lime Slakers feature a dial-type thermometer that monitors the slaking chamber temperature and a temperature-activated water valve adds water if slurry temperature exceeds the predetermined limit. The grit rejection screen is an oscillating replaceable stainless steel wire mesh provided to ensure a clean product. The slaking chamber is fitted with a 1/4" thick steel, replaceable wear plate. The slaker is all-welded steel construction (stainless steel is also available), warming jacket barrel walls are rolled steel plate. All water piping and fittings are galvanized steel. A 6" diameter grit removal screw conveyor extends 4" beyond the station wall and is powered by a 1/3 HP electric motor. The drive is a 60 Hz, 230/460 volt, chemical duty motor. The control panel consists of a NEMA 4 enclosure with all switches, starters, PLC, graphic display, circuit breakers and fuses.
